Lower Merion Rod and Gun Club

We are having our CHRISTMAS TURKEY SHOOT this Sunday Dec 21, 2014. This shoot starts @ 10am and we have great breakfast sandwiches and lots of other food. We have enough turkeys for 8 events and the turkeys are in the 12 to 16 pound class. Come on out and have a great time with us. MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your families.

I’m sad to announce that we have lost one our members. Bill Markley has passed away last week. Please remember him in your prayers.

The next Membership meeting is at the club on Thurs. Dec. 11th. It was originally set for Dec. 18th. Please try to attend.

The Federation schedule is on our event calendar. There are 18 shoots this year and you have to make 14 of them to count. $12.00 without Lewis. Lewis is optional and remains at $10.00. The first shoot is at Perky Valley on Oct. 5th

On Sat. July 26th a dozen or so club members ripped up the sidewalk and concrete pad in front of the entrance door to the club and then set the forms for a new pad and sidewalk. On Sat. Aug. 9th a dozen or so members and 1 non-member showed up and poured 6 yrds. of concrete. We now have a beautiful new sidewalk and entrance pad at the club. This is what makes this club the Great club that it is. We have people that are willing to share their skills and time to benefit all of the members and their guests. I want to publically thank all of our volunteers that helped out with this project and all of the other projects that get done thru out the year. John Chain
